India’s First Android Based Phone – HTC Magic

Bharti Airtel and HTC Corporation announced the launch of India’s first Android-powered mobile phone The HTC Magic.

The HTC Magic is very slim and light weight. The vital statistics of the phone is 113 x 55 x 13.65 mm. It is completely touch operated. Its front is dominated by a wide touch screen of 3.2 inches. The screen is very touch sensitive so you don’t have to struggle tooperate the phone. There is a trackball for scrolling screens without finger strokes.

The HTC Magic is a Google phone- it is integrated with Google applications. The phone is a mine of information as it allows you to perform Google search. You can access Gmail through the phone. The Cupcake version of the android interface of HTC Magic lets you mark Gmail messages and assign them to a label or delete them. The other Google applications that can be accessed from the mobile are Google Talk and Google Calendar. The Google Street View application has been conflated with the HTC Magic’s mapping application. It lets you have a virtual view of streets to find out your way.

The HTC Magic has a 3.2 Mega pixel auto focus enabled camera for the masterpiece photograph. It supports only video formats like MP4 and 3GP which is slightly less when compared to the current standards of android mobiles. Its powerful video recording capabilities allows you to post videos directly on You Tube or share videos with friends via e-mail or MMS.
