The Ford Fiesta SXI With a All New Look

Today, Ford India launched a new variant of its top-of-the-range Fiesta SXI.New Fiesta SXI is equiped with high class luxury and comfort with its beige leather interiors, wood-finished center console with brushed aluminum finish on all the knobs, vents and steering wheel.

The car comes with a 2-DIN MP3 player with surround sound which also supports an aux-in port to plug-in your portable music player.

On the engine front, the new Fiesta SXI comes with an option of either the 1.6-litre Duratec petrol, or the 1.4-litre Duratorq diesel engine.

This new top-end variant of the Ford Fiesta SXI has been priced at Rs. 6.99 lakhs for the petrol version and Rs. 7.99 lakh for the diesel (ex-showroom, Delhi), and will be available at Ford dealerships across the country starting on the 3rd of August (Today).

Apart from its style and sophisticated comfort, there is an equal emphasis on safety, which incorporates the latest in crash energy management systems with Anti-lock braking system (ABS) with EBD. Airbags are standard for driver and front passenger along with the collapsible steering column. A first in its class feature is the fuel cut-off inertia switch, which cuts off fuel in case of a crash.

Honda Jazz Finally Launched

Honda Siel has finally  launched its latest car, the Honda Jazz, in the indian car m arket.

Honda Jazz in India, priced between Rs 6.98 lakh and Rs 7.33 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Jazz boasts an optimum balance between a futuristic aerodynamic exterior and spacious interiors and brings added fun and excitement to the driving experience.

The Jazz has been launched in India with a 1.2 L i-VTEC engine which has been specially developed for the Indian Market.The Car  is a 4 cylinder 1198 cc engine featuring Programmed Fuel Injection delivering class-leading power of 89 Bhp at 6200 rpm and torque of 110 Nm at 4800 rpm while giving an impressive fuel economy of 16.1 km per litre as per ARAI test data. It is expected that Jazz will give mileage of around 13-14 kms per litre in city driving.

All New Skoda Superb Launched!!

Skoda has launched its latest luxury saloon Superb in the Indian market today. The new generation Superb was launched at the Geneva Motor Show in 2008 but took time to come to  india. The car comes with two engine options, a petrol and a diesel each.

Hyundai i20 Brochure

Hyundai i20 made it’s debut at the Paris Motor Show 2008. Similar to its predecessor i10, the i20 will be manufactured exclusively in India and exported to other countries.

The i20 has been launched in 3 variants in India:

• i20 Magna
• i20 Asta
• i20 Asta(O)

The only difference in Asta & Asta(O) is that the O variant comes with side and curtain airbags which is a first for a car in this segment in India.

It has been initially launched with 1197cc Kappa petrol engine with 79 Bhp of maximum power and 110 Nm of torque. Hyundai is also planning to launch a CRDi variant in March/April 2009.

The 1.2 Kappa engine is peppy with a 12.9 second 0-60 time. The engine has been tuned for minimum emissions & maximum economy.

Maruti A-star to be launched tomorrow (19th Nov)

The new Maruti A-star (Alto) to be finally launched tomorrow (19th Nov 2008)

The company is aiming to sell about 50,000 units in the Indian market and a one lakh units to be exported. It will be manufactured at its Manesar plant.

The new-generation 998-cc engine offers 67 BHP power and has been designed to meet even future environment norms. Claiming that the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI)’s tests reveal that A-Star delivers an impressive mileage of 19.59 km a litre, Maruti Suzuki’s Executive Officer (Marketing and Sales) Mayank Pareek said the new offering would give yet another choice to cost-conscious customers who can now select from a range of as many as seven of their products in the compact car segment.

MSI claims that according to the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), the A-Star delivers a mileage of 19.59 km per litre. It is powered by the company’s new KB10 998 cc petrol engine and will be rolled out in three variants. While the company has not announced the price of the new car, it is expected to be priced around Rs 4 lakh.

All New Honda City

Honda Siel Cars India Today launched the third generation model of its Sedan, City, priced between Rs 7.7 lakh and Rs 8.9 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The new Honda City would come in three different grades with both automatic and manual transmissions and would be available with a 1.5 litre i-VTEC engine.

The new Honda City will compete against MS SX4, Ford Fiesta, Aveo & Verna.

Some features like iPod-compatible USB connector for the music system, seven cupholders, keyless entry, steering embeded audio controls and a plastic-lined tray under the rear seat are a nice touch for comfort and convenience. The new City comes along with dual srs airbags in the front along with ABS. The new Honda City will be available in 4 colours:

• Tafeta white
• Habanero red
• Polished metal
• Alabaster silver

The expected mileage will be around 12kmpl in the city and 15kmpl in the highway.
